Do the 335, need Turbo timers

Just curious to see if the 335 need turbo timers, because i know that lot of people with turbo engines get that. Does the engine keep running after the ignition is turned off.

No need for turbo timers! Do a search for more info on other threads about turbo timers.

There is no need for a turbo timer in the 335i. If you sit in the car after you have parked and turned off the ignition you can hear a whirring noise. After a couple minutes you hear a clunk. That is the coolant pump continuing to pump coolant through the turbo bearing housings for a couple minutes, then the pump shuts off. This prevents the turbos from heat soaking and oil coking in the seals.

very good to know! I didn't know that...always wondered what that noise was.

I checked your site out...and don't get me wrong...it's not very common to see girls on a car forum, especially one that knows the inner workings of a high-performance cars.

by the way, i wouldn't be surprised if your friend, James Tate, knows my friend LJ Garcia...he's been in the import scene for a long time and my other friend Leon Casino.

When I grow up, I want to be Merritt. She is an amazing m'f'er; hot too (no offense intended by that, just a general male observation because that's what men do). She is the sickest cool woman on paper I've ever read about.
