dyno #'s are great but lets see some trap speeds!
Hey all. Ive noticed that since owning my 335 and being on this forum, there seem to be tons of people dyno'ing their cars. That is fantastic and very informative. I don't think i'm alone in saying this but another great way to see how your car is doing is by bringing it out to your local track on test n' tune night and seeing what she runs. It is so much fun, you learn a ton about other cars and setups, meet cool car people and you actually see what cars you beat and what cars smoke you.
This is not a rant at all and I/we appreciate all the dyno's but real world drag racing is a lot of fun and shows a lot of info about a cars power (esp. trap speed). The reason I bring this up is beacuse I have owned many high performance cars and on other car forums (in general), I see a lot more drag times posted vs. dyno graphs. I really want to see people start running 10's on a consistant basis and I think we can do it if more of us take it to the track. I do understand that people don't want to damage their car and that is fair. Best Regards, King Mode

sig ftw. Yes md tracks are fast. This is probably a 120-122 trap elsewhere depending on conditions.

I remember back in the tuner wars days when there was really only Jb3 and PROcede; guys would fight about JB3 always having the best times and then people would defend the procede owners by saying "well they just don't go to the track as much"....
I never saw this platform as avid enthusiast about the drag strip. Would be cool to see some more 10 slips now that we have some upgraded turbo options becoming readily available and e85 working it's way into the platform too. |

I have similar 1/8 mile traps on your 117mph trap, when I went to track i was shifting damn near 7k every gear(way to high I know 2nd pass ever) I believe my car has a solid 115mph trap in it...hmmm

#1434 with PTF E50, it was hot out and timing was being pulled after the 1/8 mile so thats how I got stuck with the low 1/4 mile trap. if I was on the right side of the track it would have been 118, as the right side track traps higher

Nope, so damn close, but just couldn't do it...just too high a DA that day. Still happy with the MPH though.

After a few times the track I actually find traps and time to be better tacking out the 6MT to 7k. The wife's auto does better around 6-6200 but each time I shift sooner traps are slower. Based on gearing I think the manual needs some more rpm...
