You don't have a leg to stand on if its taxed and insured. Just because it's parked outside your house and is unsightly, it isn't breaking any law and its on the public highway.

If you start moving it, messing with it etc then its you that's likely to end up with questions to be answered if your seen doing it or worse recorded on a mobile doing something to it.

It seems its one of those pain in the arse situations that your stuck with.... Well until April anyway.

Doesn't matter. If its in a public road and it has road tax,not parked in any restricted parking. I doubt they can do anything.

so everyone is telling me!
surely I have a right to be slightly irritated though, if you had a piece of crap left outside your house you'd have the hump.
By the time April comes round, if its still there, this thing will have its own eco system!

I sat and worked it out, its been there since 1st week of September. The steering wheel has mould on it.

maybe not, but as I say in earlier posts, if it was outside your house then you would probably try and do something to move it as well.

tried that, they rang me back to say its not reported stolen or been involved in any crime, so they wont do anything and to contact the council.
who in turn told me that as its taxed, there is nothing they can do either.

its insured as well, so it belongs to someone.

Bizarrely, I don't disagree with what can or cant be done about it sitting there, rules and rules. But it just looks hideous.

You have every right to be irritated and if it was outside my house I'd be the same. Even more irritating is the fact it can bloody stay there!

IF it was, then we could at least move it so that it gives us another space outside on the road.
Im not totally convinced someone on the street isnt lying to me!

Attach a towrope to it and drag it in from of someone's drive and then have someone else report it as being an obstruction.

this was my wifes suggestion as well.
this might well happen to an extent, just drag it one way a car length to create a bit more space.

so saturday morning my mate came over for a cup of tea, I ranted at him about so we moved it about 10feet using his X5 and some rope.
gave us enough room to get 2 more cars parked sensibly.

Was quite chuffed with myself, then woke up this morning and its gone!
Which makes me think some f8cker knows who it belonged to, told them that people were doing stuff to it. Liars!!!!!!

Anyway, Im happy now. Life is perfect again.

People used to park in our street in Manchester and then order taxis to the airport, leaving their cars there for weeks. You'd see them transfering suitcases at 4am!!

And we lived 5 miles from the Airport....

Yep. You'll be hearing from my solicitor for moving my car. Wait till you come back from work tomorrow to find my knackered Transit parked outside your house......
