BMWP exhaust - E92 325i
First off, I’ll apologise in advance because I know this question would have been asked thousands of times - but I just can’t find the answer even after searching!
I’m looking to purchase a BMWP exhaust for my E92 325i (N53), but preferably second hand to save the pennies. My questions are: 1) Will a 330i exhaust fit? 2) Are the fittings on a manual and automatic the same (as some sites selling them new appear to specify for automatics)? Many thanks. |

I believe the parts are all interchangeable between 330/325/328 N/A motors, regardless of transmission. However, be advised that the exhaust system for the SEDAN (E90) is actually a few inches SHORTER than the systems designed for coupes and convertibles (E92/E93). I believe the extra length is just in the actual muffler/silencer tips, so you can use the longer coupe/conv. system on sedans, but the tips will stick out a few more inches unless you cut them off, shorten them, and weld them back on (assuming that's possible). To each his own there...

The 330i version has a open/close flap connected to the exhaust. The 325i version doesn't have it. I think it makes the 330i version quieter at low speeds and cold starts

Is that on the PE or stock exhaust? I believe the 330i does have the exhaust flap on the stock exhaust but I could be wrong.
