My other half went (caught texting in a traffic jam), she said it was very interesting and they go over bits like driving in the rain, real life stopping distance and other stuff. I switched off after 10 seconds.
The main thing they try to get over to the attendee's is thinking a little bit more on what MIGHT happen on the roads if you fuck up!! Good news on the penalty |

So i have a section 59 warning as stated in an earlier post. Just need some clarification:
When a police car reads my plate will it flash up with a S59 warning? Or would they know only when they do further checks when they've stopped me? Also, any advice on how to dispute the S59 because my driving certainly wasn't careless, or anti social? |

Parapaul: You've already seemed to make a judgement of my driving, assuming its careless. How do you know that? From 2 incidents you've read about? Did you actually witness any of the incidents?
I've been arguing all the way through this thread that it wasn't careless, i was in total control. The police officer himself said it was only due to the rain that they had to stop me. I think due to the fact that they offered me a driving course, explains it wasn't as dangerous as you seem to believe. Otherwise it would have been points or court. |

I think you should go to court and argue that the policemen were wrong and couldn't tell the difference between a careful and considerate driver (like yourself) and a drunken goat.
You could suggest that they prosecute the policemen for wasting the court's time as well. |

All i can say is that if i was that much of a dangerous driver at that time, like you all seem to love to believe, then i would not have been offered a driving course.

I don't understand why people on here assume that i'm lying and i'm automatically a "nutter". It's very strange and worrying we have this sort of mentality on this forum. You just love to make an issue out of nothing. Maybe it's because of people not liking my views on other threads in the past. FYI my previous 6 points were for breaking a 30mph limit and a 40mph limit. One was a mobile police van positioned right at the bottom of a dual carriageway, on a steep ish hill, got caught doing 49 in a 40 (OMG THATS CRAZY!!). The other was just a speed camera, got caught doing 38 in a 30 (WHAT THE HELL THAT'S CRAZY FAST!!). Are you saying that qualifies me as a nutter? . If you are, then i guess most of us are nutters! Please do not make these ridiculous assumptions that my previous 6 points were for crazy or dangerous driving. I've driven for 8 years now with only the previous 6 points, and now this single incident. I admit i was driving a bit fast, but i had just come back from holiday and hadn't driven the car in 4 weeks. The same actually goes for one of the previous 3 points! I don't even know why i'm trying to explain myself to you! If you want to call me a nutter and make these little assumptions up in your head then fine. That's your call, even though it's wrong. |

Nor do I.
You always get sanctimonious, holier than thou types on forums, this ones no different to others, although the judgements are couched in a more polite manner. The chances are that the very people who criticise you, are no doubt guilty of similar offences, after all, who drives a BMW and drives like Miss Daisy! By the way................ Nuttah

People just need to calm the **** down and stop over analysing others. Big deal he's had a few points... I'd be more concerned if OP didn't care about the points and carried on driving carelessly. It's easy to get caught up in the heat of the moment.. and especially when you in the 3.5D, You gotta' drive it Just enjoy it, be careful and don't drive silly Some of the comments on here from others are utter rubbish and destructive. |
