Gran Turismo 6

Gran Turismo 6 is going to be released for the PS3 in a couple of weeks. Just got my pre-order in

Anyone else going to be buying it?

It's got the gorgeous Mercedes Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo included too!

Yep on pre order. Shame about the lack of race cars to drive but nice to see we can drive 24hrs in Spa aswell as race at Brands Hatch.

Fuck all that; driving a 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am through the desert? I'm growing a Reynolds-'tache already...

Wow can't wait!!

GT is amazing, right up there with waiting for a bus, sitting in a dentist waiting room, stripping wallpaper or putting a flat pack together.

I will buy it and and hour in think 'Yeah, still boring as fuck".

To be fair with Zelda Wind Wake HD last month, Zelda Link between worlds yesterday and Super Mario 3D next Friday I am all set this side of Christmas.
I have even let a mate have my PS4 pre order, no games I want till next year.
Even then with Donkey Kong and Mario Kart coming I can't see me buying one till next summer.

Waiting for Driveclub, Guiltygear and Metal Gear, then I will grab a PS4.

I do enjoy Gran Turismo for what it is.

It will be interesting to see how much this one has improved.

Is it for the PS3, or the PS4?

For the guys that are into their racing games, they really need to try iRacing on the PC. It is in a totally different league.

Yeah, iRacing is pretty good!

GT6 is for PS3 only. GT7 will be for PS4 released sometime in 2014.

Maybe Project Cars might be the new racing game to beat when released next year?

Hope it's better than GT5 which was pants. Any damage? I doubt it.

Yeah GT5 was a bit of a let down after waiting so many years for it.

The damage for GT6 cars will be similar to that of GT5, (i.e, very little) as I remember reading somewhere that Polyphony focus on the beauty of cars rather than damage.

It'll look good, be boring to play and every car will sound the same.

The last is the most intolerable part for me. Play for hours to build up credit to buy something awesome and it sounds like the Suzuki R Wagon you start out in. Utter gash.

yea, but I think it would take a forza 6 to maximise the potential of the xb1, still good though, especially with the force feedback on the triggers

Yeah Forza 5 looks great...especially the damage model!

But having around 1200 cars and so many different/classic tracks is what makes GT5 stand out for me

Even if 1100 of the cars are variations of the Nissan 370Z?
