They are the Version 3, but upgraded with Custom Amber LUX H8.

Wanna see the AEs illuminated with amber color.

Which, if true, doesn't sound right to me - because the original design @ the original price, was supposed to allow the electronics to be tucked inside.

So actually, all this time you were not getting a feature that was initially spec'd but with no reduction in cost...

And if I'm wrong, and price is lower - then

That number is only a internal product reference number, it has no affect on the actual product itself

Pricing, information, along with everything else you need to know will be coming within a week or 2

Can this LUX H8 Ver.3 be installed on an e90 pre-LCI? I just bought the LUX 5.1 but haven't installed it yet.

For anyone curious, this is what the LCI LED lights look like... just one led attached to a heat sink. Lux has 3+

Waiting for release and pricing. The H8 regular 35w 15V bulbs just don't cut it anybody has for brightness and filling the angel eyes on the e92 couple I've found.

Thanks for the pic! That appears to be three distinct LED dies packed together much like cree does with some of their assemblies. Number of dies doesn't speak to the overall output as die selection, efficiency, current, forward voltage, etc. etc. account for that. I'm always more inclined to look at comparison pictures head on in various light conditions (which was already posted). A Light meter reading while difficult to perform would be pretty cool as well but probably unnecessary. These def look right up my alley as I switch from Angel I Bright 3.0 in my E92 to HID lamps and both have had their issues. The AIB ballast or control module burned out repeatedly whether inside the light housing or outside. The HID are bright no doubt but are hardly a clean install and mine no matter how much I clean the connection terminals with alcohol always will come on when I unlock my car but will sporadically go out when I crank the car so that I have to keep turning off my DRL and turning them back on to get both up and lit.

Sorry if I derailed the thread.....product looks awesome....I am subscribed!

For the E90(pre-lci) LUX 5.1 is the correct version to use

can this setup be used in a x6m? because the previous version could not be used in the x6. It would be great if it can be used in the x6 because the kit looks much more simplier then going with HID angels
