TV motion unlock
Hi
Has anyone dealt with mikero777 on ebay to have the tv unit unlocked such that the screen displays when the car is in motion. The link to his ebay listing: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/BMW-Video-mot...item19bc8b412d Cheers Ken |

Why would you???? (unlock TV not deal with mikero777).
Apart from the fact that I need no further distractions than:= Nav iPhone Tune on board looking for pretty girls looking for (not pretty) cops why would you even contemplate the TV functioning whilst moving?? The only purpose worthy of attention that free to air TV in Australi has is news delivery or sporting events which can alwasy be listened to anyway. Now you may say, "hey, thats a bit of a Nanny'd response".... but i bet the boys in blue would be even less impressed and your insurers would simply laugh at you!! I'm sure Mike is a decent guy! |

With haggis.
Why would you? Obvious reason that passengers can watch aside?

Yes, it's mainly for the passengers and it's especially a godsend for them on long drives. I had my e46's tv unlocked with a plug and play unit but with the e92, it requires reprogramming via the car's OBD connection. It's quite a favourable feature once you have experienced it and not an overly distracting feature as many may presume it to be.
I did a bit of research regarding the vendor mikero777 and came up with this: http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=130630 What do you guys think? It seems like he's been buying nav units from the USA vendors and scamming them by claiming through Paypal that he has received faulty units or that he actually removed parts from them and returned them back for refunds. Anyone from NSW dealt with him? The thought of posting him a tv tuner unit worth a substantial amount of money make me very uneasy. |
