Today may be a good day.

Looks like the Porsche has sold, plus a brief, five minute search tells me there are a LOT of top spec M3's out there for well below what I'd be willing to pay.

Think I'll treat myself to between 6 and 10 beers tonight in celebration.

Just realised though, that in 9 months the Porsche never made it to an E90Post meet. Seems a shame.

4 so far H. Miss the linear delivery of a large NA engine, but I'm also gonna look at some later RS4's and possibly wild cards like the Monaro etc. The Golf is doing no harm for now to be fair to it...

Well DCT's are dropping to just above 30k so they are in budget. Originally that's definitely what I wanted.... but an awesome manual would swing it.

From a lot of reviews I hear the manual if very harsh and unforgiving. Depends what your used to i guess!

Based on test driving 3 manual and 1 DCT car, I'd probably agree. I found the manual more engaging, but the DCT is worlds ahead of the standard slushbox and I love how it blips on changes etc.

Congrats on the sale. Happy hunting for the perfect replacement - you always seem to do very well in finding the ideal spec (the Porsche was a great example) so look forward to seeing it.
