E90 with 18x8.5 ET20 245/40/18
I have an opportunity to grab a winter setup from a 5-series... I've tried using the offset calculators but I end up just confusing myself.
Thoughts on an E90 ('08 335xi) with 18x8.5 ET20 245/40/18 all around? |

That will probably end up rubbing. I tried running that size tire in the rear with 18x8.5 ET35 and a 15 mm spacer and it rubbed. Put 10 mm spacers in and I've never rubbed once after that.
As for the front, I'm not really sure. I wanna say that you'll end up rubbing on your outside fender, but I've never tried adding a spacer up front to duplicate those specs so can't say for sure... |
