Dealership Detailing

Anyone ever had their car detailed at their local dealer? I'm a big advocate of DIY, but they really tried to sell me on it after I dropped off for service.

Ask for references and check out their work.

I'm sure you can find a detail shop that will do a better job at a lower price than your dealership. Personally, I subscribe to the DIY mentality.

NO do n ot let the dealer detail the car

well, it's up to you and ur dealer i guess, but i have had nothing but bad experiences - u might as well drive it through a car wash.

bmw sf is no good, if tht's the dealer ur thinking about

my car was 2 days old, it came out w/ so any swirls it looked like it was 2 years old

+1 - I would learn to DIY or find a actual detail shop. The last place I would go would be the stealership

The dealership delivered my new car to me with a bunch of swirl marks on it as well.

I found a local detail shop that will remove the swirls then install a clear bra, then show me how to maintain the paint properly moving forward.

That's what I'd recommend for you.
