I have 3 sets of Y ipod iphone cables

Will work for cars with or without idrive

Your car will need both aux and usb if you want to show up on idrive

Charges your iphone or ipod when connected

If you only have the aux you can still play music but cant view it from idrive screen and wont charge

This will work for iphone 5 5s if you buy the adaptor link below

Should have the part number stamped on it like the one in this photo. Actually as long as it allows me to control the iPod through the radio, I guess it doesn't matter.
