Not meaning to thread jack but how are you getting your bumper painted? I am looking to do the same and shops are saying that I need to pre fit my bumper and bring it to them with the bumper on the car. This doesn't make sense to me since the bumper would more than likely get rock chips or imperfections along the way that would cost more money to fix. Are they making you do this or are you just taking them the bumper?

I'm planning to pre fit my bumper then take it to the shop with the bumper off and will put it back on once I'm there so they can match my paint. My paint shop is just 2minutes drive from where I live so driving with no bumper on is fine I hope lol

If it's not 100% are you going to try and sand and trim yourself (i think I am going to try and tackle this part myself)? I am also going to pre fit (front, rear, sides and two surprise pieces lol can't tell until i post pics "hopefully") I am really just worried about fitment but to be quite honest if its 99% i'm going for it. i think i will have to 1)pre fit, 2)reinstall oem, 3)drive there and somehow take off oem, 4)put on new parts to paint match.

But wouldn't they paint the parts off of the car? How much were you quoted if you don't mind me asking? I was quoted 1200 for all parts. That was without install. But I am fine with that. I can install myself.

WHAT!! I think that's highway robbery lol but idk Im I was told it would cost around 250-350ish to paint my bumper. Honestly if I were you I would prefit everything and then order other miscellaneous parts as well unless you ordered it from e92-mtech.com and gotten the full kit. Basically just prefit everything just to make sure... you don't want to paint and then to find out there's a big gap in between the body lol cheers
