How do you get the details filled at companys house ? would the company be told you have asked for a copy and how much does it cost .

Use their webcheck service.

However, Much info aside from accounts is also available at places like busy.co.uk or http://www.companiesintheuk.co.uk for example.

Records are all public domain so the company is not informed. Cost depends on what info you are looking for.

www.duedil.com gives a lot of info on accounts, directors etc etc. You can also buy additional documents of you need them.

The Companies House Webcheck service linked above is the best. Dead easy, typically £1 per document downloaded and, no, the company will not be aware that you have accessed the info.

Use it all the time for work.

Webcheck is good but does not give much info unless you pay. Duedil gives a lot for free once you register.

As others have said, the companies house website is good to check for the registered address, reg number and company status.

I use companycheck.com at work which shows directors, basic financials and group structure, you can log on using a google account, facebook etc.
