Exclamation Dinan Stage II = AWESOME, but HCFP died 20 minutes later

Wow, so I got my freshly Dinan'd 335i today, and it is crazy fast. I can finally cruise effortlessly in 5th at 5000 going 110mph. Love it, I'd recommend it.

But... and this perhaps, is Karma... about twenty minutes after I started playing with it, I got the infamous limp mode at a high rate of speed on highway. I almost had a heart attack. I went back to the Dinan place and they said it most likely is the fuel pump. I'd been having long cranks for a while but this really sucks. Taking it into the dealer at 7:30am tomorrow.

Is Crazy Fast faster than Stupid Fast, Insanely Fast, or F@#$ing Fast? I don't get which one of those is the fastest, but whatever is, I want that in my tune!

It sounds like it was inevitable, I mean you stated you already were experiencing long cranks prior to the flash. The Dinan just pushed the pump to the point of failure! Get a new hpfp and enjoy the new power!

They do a lot of Porche work but they are Dinan authorized. Steve Dinan (the man) was just there last week. The are one of the top 10 Dinan places in the nation!

Bob Miller is the rep and he is a really great guy. When I paid he gave me a check for $100 USD for the 5% off, pretty sweet! I highly recommend them.

I saw it! with the LED angel eyes? With those (19?) M wheels? Very sexy! I watched 'em take it on and off the lift while they were trying to read the codes mine was throwing. What are they doing for you?

Id love to know where you can go 110 and not get caught. I dont go more then 80 on the highways. This area sucks for open backroads. Cops are everywhere.

130 on 795 just past mile marker 1. The V1 helps for those turns.

110 is easy anywhere inside the city on the JFX. Coppers sit right on the city/county line but beyond that there isn't a safe shoulder all the way down. Confirmed by a city cop I know

Also 83 just north of Hunt Valley has a great down hill run, with about a 1/2 mile visibility.

My pleasure! Also as far as back roads go, where you can test your cornering at speed and what not, a great area is Hydes, MD, up in NE Baltimore County/Harford County. Tons of long scenic rides with very low police presence. You can whiz by horses and wineries, and its only 20 minutes from downtown. Click this Google Map link and then set your course for this area.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...49138&t=h&z=15

The best roads up there are Long Green and Hydes IMO. I'd love to drive around with you one day when my car is fixed...

Oh wait... by oneself lol

I'm surprised you had issues with long cranks before but still proceeded to do the Dinan flash; gutsy!
