Hey guys,
I have a 2009 335i M Sport and what your mentioning Pulsk001 is exactly what I am going through right now. The car has only done 67K and have got it in with BMW Auto Classics Perth atm. I have already replaced the Spark plugs and Ignition Coils. Its ok for about 15 secs of driving then some times (Cold Start) it coughs and splutters. I pull over, turn it off and start it up and its ok. BMW Auto Classic Perth have just told me its going to cost 4K to get fixed. I nearly fainted. Is there anything I should mention to BMW Perth when before I pick it up ? |

Is the car under warranty?
If not any reason why you are going back to Auto Classic? I can name at least 2 other workshops which will be cheaper than that. |

They are legit, and their parts are Genuine. I have since switched to ECS tuning, as they offer genuine parts aswell, but often for a bit cheaper, and more affordable postage prices. Pelican does however have a much larger range of parts on their system. The high pressure injectors I was told are $1000~ each in Australian dealership prices, yet on ECS tuning you can get a complete set of 6 for $1200~. A no brainer if you ask me. (were you asking me?) |

Don't pay that mate, go to a bmw independent specialist who can code and buy the injectors from www.ecstuning.com and have them installed by an indy. That should be around $1500-1600 at most!! |

I have checked with BMW Australia and the car wasn't included in the recall for the injectors. But funny that the injectors are playing up around the same time most others did as well.
Auto Classic are positive it is all 6 injectors and not the HPFP. Has anyone got any good recommendations for workshops in Perth? I managed to get Injectors through Parts Agent for $1500 delivered. |

Hey mate I used to live in PErth before and I reckon Ramp Auto is the way to go.
There is also BMTechniks (pretty good but expensive IMO) and Perth 3MW who are like Auto Classic wannabes. Get them to diagnose the problem, I'd rather not mention that it was injectors and see what they think it is. It is either injectors or HPFP. HPFP is a cheaper job, about $600 for the part and whatever else on labour. Let us know how you go. Auto Classic will rip you off, unless you are under warranty do not go there. |
