Tyres In Adelaide

Just got an unbelieveable price for some new tyres from my local Bridgestone Select Store near the Marion Shopping Centre.

I have 19" 225m wheels (2010 E92 335i)

I just got the following
Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT

2 x 225x35x19 (front)
2 x 255x30x19 (rear)

Fitted and balanced, nitrogen filled, wheel allignment and a $100 fuel card all for less than $1700.
TireRack in the USA don't even have the S001 in these sizes and checked their price for the soon to be discontinued Bridgestone Potenza RE050A which are an inferior tyre to the S001's and their price wasn't much cheaper. When you add in shipping fitting etc etc I am getting them cheaper here.
I think this is a great deal and worth mentioning

The tyre guys must be quiet. I've just put a set of Michelen PSSs on my A4 3ltr Tdi Quattro. (Sorry guys, sold the 320D Tourer because I wanted a six after the four pot and BMW will not put a big diesel in their 3 series cars anymore, se la vie.) Anyway, the tyres. 255/35/R19s $385 a corner. Fitted Balanced. Free rotation down the track. Sept 2013 manufacture. Bob Jane T Mart Brookvale. Top job, top price. I shopped and shopped for these. Best deal I could find. Hope this helps someone.

Unfortunately I still use Adelaide Motors as I am still under warranty and have a service contract.
As soon as the above run out I will be looking for a good BMW mechanic in Adelaide. Unfortunately only having one dealer in Adelaide makes it hard for competition.

As for the tyres I am so pleased with the deal. When I had them fitted he noticed a little curb rash so her arranged to have a mobile guy come to my place on Saturday and tidy up all the wheels at his expense. That is great service and great price and overall a great deal.

Michael McMichael in Stepney is pretty reputable as far as Indy BMW work goes in Adelaide. Decent prices and service but occasionally you can catch him in a poor mood I've found.
BM Wise on Portrush Road are pretty good as well. From the guys in the BMW Drivers Club of SA I understand that they're cool with you buying all your own parts and they'll just charge you labour. Potentially saving a fortune and letting you know exactly what's going into your car.

As far as tyres go though: I found Bob Jane in Plympton has some really knowledgeable staff as far as BMW wheels and tyres go and they certainly helped me out a lot. I'm assuming it's not only because I work in a car yard, lol. They always have BMW wheels out the front of their store.

Had a good experience recently with Bob Jane in Pulteney St. $1288 for full set of 18" tyres for my 2009 320d M Sport. Had them in stock, dropped off car an hour after I rang, got the car back 90 mins later.

If you are still looking for a good BMW mechanic you need to speak to Simon at BM Connections on Greenhill Rd.

I got absolutely sick of the crap at Adelaide motors and have been to him ever since. He is an ex BMW master mechanic of Adelaide Motors and has a team of guys there and they are not afraid to work on cars that have had a little tweaking
