Steering Wheel Trim Opinions Needed.... Pics Inside
I need everyones opinions here.
I usually make up my own mind and dont care what anyone else thinks, but Im REALLY torn with this one. So heres the deal. I ordered a M3 steering wheel that will be here Tuesday. I did not order the trim as I couldnt see myself spending over $200cnd on a trim peice, I dont even want to spend $100 on it to be honest! Here are the options Im thinking: 1. wrap the trim peice in cf material and leave the chrome things chrome 2. wrap the chrome things in cf material and leave the rest of the trim plastic black 3. wrap the whole thing in cf material (silver part and black part) 4. paint the silver peices flat black (fingers crossed it would match) 5. leave it as is... Heres a few shots of my interior for reference: Im looking forward to finding out what everyone thinks.... any pics of these options id love to see.....

I can't really decide but I can help narrow it down to two options. If I were you, I'd go for Option 2 or Option 4. I am personally doing Option 4, but in your case with the CF interior you could consider Option 2. I still would go for Option 4 if I decide to CF wrap my interior.

I know what you mean...having a somewhat similar debate with myself on some CF trim wrapping.
In your case, since you don't have any other aluminum trim, I think I would vote for wrapping only the silver pieces in CF. Second choice would probably be to wrap the whole thing, although I think that might be a little too much at the end of the day. Post pics back up when you're done and good luck. |

Wrap the "black" portion of the steering wheel trim cf.
Leave the silver portion of the trim, silver. Get some new pedals. Get a pearlescent e-brake handle to match the silver of the steering wheel trim. Done. |

The choice is clear Maty,
2. wrap the chrome things in cf material and leave the rest of the trim plastic black

I wrapped the chrome trim with matte black and it looks 100 times better. I say go for wrapping the chrome pieces.
