oil question

i own an e90 · 02-15-2010, 03:21 PM

ok i have maintenance warranty for my car...and im almost low on oil....would the dealer add oil for free.....or would i have to purchase oil out of my own pocket ...

how often do you guys change ur oil before u have to go in for an actual oil change ....???

Yes just drive in and they will top it off quickly and your on your way.

yeah its is! if you dont feel like waiting just buy it its like 7 bucks lol, thats what i do sometimes and leave the container in their lot

I know .. A friend of mine hates that place every time he goes there they do something wrong with hes car ..

i only take my car there cuz its near my job so i drop it of there in the morning and pick it up after work

How often are some of you adding oil? I never have to add oil on my 335....

i add oil whenever the idrive states that the oil is low
it usually comes up 4 or 5 k miles after a fresh oil change, and 1 quart fixes it easily

its weird..cuz sometimes my oil gauge says dips to low end and then its almost full again when i check it again after a few ride..hMMmmm

I usually change my oil every 5K regardless of what dealer says, 15K is way too much for a single oil change. If its a lease its ok but if you own you wanna take care of your baby.

i agree....do u get ur oil and filter from the dealer ????? i dont even know if we can put any synthetic oil in a beemer...ya i own own bmw ..and my next is not till 17k miles..haha
