Greg and Andrew at Competition in Smithtown- thumbs up
july 18th will mark the 1 year anniversary with my car. i ordered it through Vito Latorre and Competition BMW in Smithtown. I just wanted to say that my SA, Greg has been nothing short of helpful since day one. He always answers all my questions and does whatever he can to ownership experience a great one.
Today I had to get my state inspection and oil change taken care of. while i was there i met andrew, one of the techs. I turned out he was the one who worked on my car. He told me that the second he saw my car he knew it belonged to an enthusiast, and that whenever a car like mine comes in he always put a little bit of extra care into his work. He went on to tell me about the bimmers he's owned, currently an E39 540. What was cool was that he talked about all the little stuff that can go wrong with an E39, similar to how we talk about HPFP and windows destroying tints. I know most people who read this will just shrug it off and move onto the next thread. I just wanted to take the time and let everyone know that there are some of us working at the stealerships. most of the guys you'll come across when getting your car serviced don't really give a shit, but it is nice find out that your car just got serviced by someone who is as passionate about BMWs as you are. thats all. so to Greg and Andrew.....

Last time I went to the dealership they really hooked me up!! I go to Bobby Rahal in Pittsburgh, and everyone is always really friendly. As soon as they saw me pull up, all the SA's were asking me about my car, and I just have a 328 hahaha. But anyway, my warranty was out, and I had a serious issue with my headlight pointing straight up in the air. It required a whole new unit which cost $975 but they worked it out that BMW would take care of it and I just paid for labor. The techs also complimented me on my car when I walked into the shop to get some stuff out before I took the loaner. They only had a X3 on the lot for a loaner, but the guy told me to wait 5 minutes... They just got a e92 335 returned and he hooked me up for the weekend. They almost got me to buy a new car after that weekend hahaha Nothing but props to Bobby Rahal |
