on a new car, what do you get? $60k is going to be my limit, I'm abuot to sell this '07 335 since it's always in the shop for 1/2 engine B.S.
I would like a 'vert of some sorts but will also consider a coupe. What do ya'll think? S5? Preowned M3? any others I should look at??? I've been driving BMW's for 13 years and am on my 6th one now so it would take a GOOD DEAL for me to make the switch to another manufacturer. Thoughts or help are greatly apprectiated

+1 on the M3.
Stay in the family. The Audis do look nice, but don't handle as well.

he actually found it on ebay from a dealership in MD, worked out a deal with them first, got pictures of any and everything he wanted and took the train down to sign the papers and drive home... I believe it was Passport BMW in MD... its a flawless car no dents or dings... came with 20" breyton wheels as well!

My first choice would be to spend a lot of it at the strip club, stilleto in carlstadt on rt 3. My second choice would be a preowned GTR. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...item45f3cb7e63

Has VMR vb3 wheels, reflectors paint matched, blacked grilles, mtech lipp add on, immaculate condition.....let me know if you are interested....Im looking for about 27k for the car, but slightly negotiable...... no one said 911 yet? obviously CPO. honestly my first choice would be a 6-speed nordic gold 911 targa S with cocoa brown leather, sport chrono package, and turbo wheels. my perfect car. not a convertible but that open roof is huge enough to give the same effect. just my $.02

and id prob take the porsche. not because its my ultimate dream car, but porsche flat sixes are bulletproof. to quote hammond from top gear, "they're as reliable as a wood burning stove."

I would go with an M3 100%, 09 or higher if possible. I have a friend who sold his M3 for a GTR, and now he is in the process of selling this GTR and going back to a new M3 because, according to him, it is not a good daily driver. 911 looks ugly next to an M3 IMO, but I would suppose that is a matter of taste, although they are still fast cars, as long as it is turbo. Any AMG Benz haul ass, but are not a "drivers" car, as compared to a M3, more of a cruise quickly kind of car.....of course this is depending on model, but you are not going to rock a CLK C63 AMG for 60K.
My friends and I have this debate constantly, and we just keep coming back to the E92 M3. It is an amazing car as it sits stock, and with the amount of aftermarket support, you can really make it what you want with many different kit options, power options and so forth. Yes they will cost you a bit more to mod then a 335, but you are stepping it up to a M3. Audi does have some good support as well, but not like BMW, and most of the cars look like something my father would drive, with the exception of a few of the latest gen models. Again, for all these reasons and more, I would go with the E92 M3, it's not only the best choice, it's the only choice. |

with 60k, a cpo m6 is definitely a viable option
if you want to stay in the BMW family, you can't go wrong with any of those v-10 powered beasts it all depends on what you're looking for but you can't go wrong with any of the suggested cars 911/GTR/M cars
