Rejoined the fold!
For those that remember me, I've rejoined the fold having swapped my Mini for another 3-series (albeit an F30). See the link below for the thread I've started on the F30post forum:

Welcome back. I'd spotted your previous discussions on the other section so knew something was incoming. Looks really smart. Let us have updates as to how you're enjoying it.

That is a good looking car.
I've just recently been in a friend's brand new 2.0D 5 series touring and was very impressed. Wish they would hurry up with the 4 series .... D.

I remember you!
Nice! Sounds a decent deal. Personally I just can't get on with the styling - for me its too much like an e90 with an aftermarket front nose added....but I guess that its less of an issue if you're coming from something other than an e90... Enjoy!

Yes I did, in my silver E93. Would like to do something similar again if I get the chance - getting weekend passes from the wife is quite difficult but if there is a southern-ish meet in a convenient timescale I'd be keen to come along. The E90post crowd are a good bunch and I enjoyed myself

Yeah, likewise!! As I decided I wanted an estate/touring this time, the F31 wasn't an option.....and the F11 was waaay too big for my purposes. Call me shallow, but I also would have found it a bit difficult to stomach going back to an "ordinary" BMW... So a complete change made more sense and, so far, I'm very pleased with it. Good performance and mpg, and a much better ride/handling set up than the standard E90's. Equipment levels are good and space slightly better, so all in all a good choice, for me.

Seeing quite a few of these about on the roads now. If I'm honest I struggle to distinguish them from the F10 at first sight every time I see one. They look big in the metal so the size difference seems less obvious than it was between the E90 and E60.
Everyone seems to rave about the drive being so much better than the e90 so I think a test drive could be in order. |
