P0017: Cam-Crankshaft Correlation Sensor B-bank 1

Hey guys, like 3 weeks ago my 2006 325i had the service engine soon light on but car was running smooth. The following day later the light was gone. A couple days ago same thing happened, car runs smooth and light went away the following day. So I decided to get it scanned and it threw this code:
P0017: Cam-Crankshaft Correlation Sensor B-bank 1.

I did some research and I heard things like changing this cam crankshaft sensor and also read to replace the solenoid. I will like to hear on your inputs and advice on what to do. Thanks y'all

Did you have a rough idle at full stop? And car die while stopped?

No, car runs smooth. I notice no difference.

Hmm...that's odd. So it just randomly threw that code?
I had a similar code thrown but that's because I had a rough idle and the car turned off. I replaced the cam shaft sensor and VANOS solenoid.

Yes it did, but the following day later it went away on its own. I'm probably guessing is just a malfunctioning sensor. And after you changed both those things, did ur car go back to running normal with no code?

Yeah, it might be malfunctioning. Also, check if there is oil in it. That can cause it to throw the code too.
After I replaced those, so far it has acted normal and not felt like turning off at every stop sign or light. *knock on wood*
