just broke my pcv valve cap on my 07 335i. I ordered the RB replacement cap but it wont be here for a while is there anything i can do in the mean time to fix it? does an auto parts store sell one? thanks for the help! I really don't wanna buy a who new valve cover.....

BUMP. I overtightened mine and a piece broke off and is in the shape of a V Any tips on how to get it off? Can't drive the car as it stalls out and makes a hissing noise from the PCV as part of it is exposed.

I just broke mine off as well. These things are very brittle. I have the RB replacement ready to go in, but the cap literally crumbled as I was trying to get it off. I cant' get enough of it to turn it. Any ideas?

You're not gonna like this bro. I had to heat up the cap with a heat gun, and start chiseling away with a flathead and hammer to get the damn cap to move. Took over half an hour of that until it was enough that i could grab on with some vice grips and twist it out. Never touching that f'ing thing again. Good luck.

Well, that was fun...Not!!! That was ridiculous. However, it solved my smoking problem. It appears that the previous owner had already replaced the valve with an RB pcv valve, however the bottom rubber part of the valve had come off and it was no longer sealing. The new version of the RB valve looks to be engineered a lot better and it appears it solved my problem. Thank you, RB!!

Bumping this up, as I just had this happen. I broke mine off pretty good and flat with the valve cover. I took my soldiering iron and melted "divits" into the cap part, and used a screw driver and a small hammer to turn it.
