Which brake pads
Hey guys ive been doing some research on which brake pads to get and the most popular seems to be Akebono ceramics...i wouldnt mind those pads but I do wanna go to track events and some autocross (only about 2-3 a year) and need to know if these are ok for track days.
right now im running the cool carbons and they seem fine but some people say that during heavy hot usage they leave some kind of material that causes stuttering of the steering wheel. is there another pad out there that leaves less brake dust that will be decent for track days?

I like Axxis Ultimates. I ordered mine through Turner Motorsports. Great price and great customer service

You need dedicated track pads and rotors... Track pads, generally speaking, will generate more dust than non track pads. You could get some Hawk HP+ pads and slotted rotors for dual duty, but it will dust and squeak quite a bit. I ran ht10s up front and akebonos in the rear, but my car has significantly less hp than yours... I would not do a track day without track pads, the last thing you want to lose is your brakes + the initial bite is much more aggressive and the feel is linear in comparison to stock pads. You will also need high temp fluid and if you plan on keeping your car SS lines. Spend the $$$, it's your safety + the safety of other drivers, you will likely be able to achieve better lap times also since you have the correct equipment... My opinion anyways...

I still want street pads that give a little less dust that i can track with...that is what im really looking for. im going to only track a few times a year so I would not want dedicated track brakes for those times. for the whole year.
