Sorry to hear about seats pallava bud, I'm sure with your eyes on the prize you'll have the seats you want in good time. I always thought you can do with keeping her longer, afterall you modded so quickly and didn't really experience the longevity of ownership..
Don't think the links you've enclosed work bud so no canny see the pics. Had a spare few hours to kill today so went through your thread again, as you do. Both the wheels looks hot as did the BBK, but atleast you've experienced it now, right! Looking forward to the interior! Be good to see what you've got cooking up... S. |

Sorry to hear about the seats too, but good to hear that you're sticking with it for a bit longer dude.
Have you chosen the correct link on photobucket to share your pics on a forum? |

it seems like you put loads of cash to upgrade that pre LCI M3 and I am thinking like why didn't you buy some LCI model instead of splashing so much money???? or even saving for the new M4 that I am keen on due to it's low fuel consumption and all new technology????? tell me mate, coz I don't get it...
further, i have a 2006 335d, and still researching what's the difference to the e92 m3, in terms of a performance and handling, and so far I analysed that the only advantage of M3 is it's high rev grunt and handling, but M3 has low torque and is supposedly slow at low revs, so I am quite happy with my torquey 335d that I take advantage of in a real world city driving, but only thinking how handling may differ....and yes obviously, i would welcome the sound of V8 that gets the attention, but for a price of high fuel consumption, not sure if that is worth it though.... Point 2 - I doubt Nick actually cares about fuel economy/torque as he sold a 335d prior to getting this car Point 3 - It's his car and he can do what ever the f he likes |

I'm just starting to read through all the posts on this thread.
What kind of mpg would you get in day to day driving with the M3? I get about 24mpgs on my 335 even after the JB4 tune. No motorway driving on my route, just A roads. I'm wondering if the downpipes will have any effect on my mpg as well. Looks a nice M3. You weren't thinking about going for a 335i then from the 335D? |

OP is a beast. Met Nick a couple times and he really doesn't mind that the money is spent on the fuel. I guess you buy an ///M with your heart not your wallet. He's done some very unique mods both to this and to his previous 335D.. plus I think he bought the M3 at a fairly decent price given it's history (see 1st few posts).. end of the day it's OPs dosh and he decides what to do with it.. we should just enjoy this thread and be happy there are still people out there who are in it for the modding eh... it's what keeps these forums alive..
Otherwise we just have the same old threads about.. 'Just topped up washer fluids' or 'changed my wiper blades' LOL.. |

yeah, but 335d still feels faster in mid range though 3.well, if he can do whatever he wants, why isn't he putting turbocharger and wide body kit then such as vorsteiner!!?? would make a difference and not those bits by its changes that doesnt affect hp anyway and is still slower than a new M4, while heavy on fuel...so that's my point [u2b]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RfBNHkXegQ[/u2b] |

LOL Mate, It's his car and he can do as he pleases. Maybe his budget couldn't stretch to a turbocharger.... maybe he wants to move onto the next one... why question what the OP has or hasn't done? LOL. You could be on here forever and a day asking people why this or that. Just appreciate what he has done, maybe?

Just seen this. Lol! Idnan/ Sam don't waste your fingers tips typing a response!
Sorry Martin, but I fear you may be off the pace in the nicest possible way! Would love an m4 but the 50k price tag difference could be the first stumbling block. Secondly the only lci upgrade is the rear lights which is a common upgrade, and thirdly if you are worried about fuel, don't buy an m3. You simply don't get car modifying/ ownership! As the thread is resurrected, coupe of pics from gaydon last weekend, Been a bit quiet recently as busy. Either going to sell or may fit my recaro pole position seats!

ok so for how much did you buy that car? and how much were the upgrades costing you so far?
secondly, nobody commented on me saying 335d feels faster in a mid range than M3, so I am glad, you have agreed on it, but could you also confirm and say your thoughts about 335d being a better daily and mainly city driver than M3? that's why i am sticking with it...and if I make some money, I ll buy M4 with auto and sunroof as a must mainly due to the better fuel economy than the e92.... |
