yeah...I will eventually. Once I become more knowledgeable about the car. This is gonna be my first bmw so I want to know how things are suppose to be before I start modding so when something goes wrong I know whats wrong. So far what I'm looking to do is performance wise DP, exhaust, FMIC, intake, maybe BOV, tune. And of course front lip, rear lip/bumper, lower, rims. I've never been a HP freak, more of a cosmetic freak. But I like to be able to back up my looks. I think with those mods I would be able to do that with no prob. If everything works out I'm going to try and get mkPOTO silver 335i. It has all the options I want with some extras. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=437338

I also have some friends that does dyno tuning. So maybe I can talk to them one day and see if we could do a dyno day or something by there shop.

Thats a good looking car, I have always liked those rims. Also, I really want to wrap my trim like that, its a really cheap mod to do, just havent gotten around to it. But personally I would be to scared to buy a non CPO modded 335i. So make sure he gets the extended warranty for you! Spend the extra 1k!

Todd when are you going to get those downpipes on? I want to see if the coupe is much louder than the sedan sense you have an x pipe. I wonder if I could get an X pipe on the e90.

You bet I am, but it will be fun b/c there will be plenty to install when the time comes. I'm looking at installing full bolt ons and seeing If I can get in the 12s in the quarter b/c I haven't found anyone whose done that. So I will be installing DPs, Catch can, FMIC, and a new chargepipe with synapse BOV. Hopefully with just that I will have 315-ish to the wheels which with a good launch with an LSD I think can be possible. Then after that PROcede time

And I know Chip wanted me to post up when we are going to the strip again so I'm letting you guys know now that me and 2 of my buddies are going wednesday night to No Problem Raceway, probably will get there around 7. It's not 100% definite yet b/c I really only want to go if I get my LSD in. I have another set of tires I am going to run but I only want to go if I have something that will help me improve my time you know. So I will keep you guys posted on what is happening. Some of you guys should really try to make it out if we go. It is a lot of fun just to even watch and also it would be nice to not be the only non-redneck out there

Yea, that is going to be awesome to have all those parts to install. You will defianly be in the 12's, and then when you get a tune you will probably be in the high 11's. I mean the only thing you would really be missing is meth, and DR's of course. Are there a lot of back woods people racing their trucks at No Problem? hahaha

Yea, im not really into truck racing. Why someone would put all that money into a truck and not a car is beyond me, but to each his own. But I wouldnt mind seeing what kind of times those trucks can run. I am defiantly going to try to make it out, but being on a wednesday makes it hard, just depends on how much work I have. I was really hoping my intercooler would be in by now

Thats the thing tho, 2 door silverado stepsides have an ls3 block in them. Corvette heads with cams-1k, mid 12s. These trucks have barely any money into them and they are really fast b/c they have v8 power and are fairly light and have no interior.

If people werent such bad drivers I would get a street bike and race it too. But I would probably get hit by someone not paying attention, and that usually leads to death.

yeah I know i'm scared about that part too. I'm not to big on buy already modded cars, just b/c I don't know what kinda of abuse or anything that might already be on the car not exactly sure how the car is going to run, and even if I got the warranty, would BMW honor it with the mods? As for CPO I've been looking and non of the ones that I've seen are CPO. I've only seen like 2 or so and they both were like 32k which is way more then what I want to pay. What do ya'll think, think it's a good buy?

this is the other one I'm looking at...but its all the way in NY

Thats kindof what I feel like, but $410 is a good deal, and I will do the JB4 upgrade for them. And if they are local I can install it for them pretty quickly. The JB4 will be a solid tune for sure, its just most people are biased here because they have PROcede. You really cant go wrong with either tune. I know anyone who purchases my JB3 will be happy with it.

No it is a piggy back, you plug it in the ECU. The PROcede is a piggyback as well; piggy backs are the preferred type of tune of the forums. Although GIAC is a very good reflash.

ok I'm trying to keep up with all these tuning options. Isn't there a shop in ATL that has a in house flash for the ECU thats pretty good? I'm not big on flashed ECU b/c you can never put them back
