Anyone checking out the lightning show up here around madison/milwaukee right now?
i tried taking a video on my p&s camera but it didn't work out too well, not able to boost the light sensitivity up enough to catch it. radar has some interesting red BLOBS that should make for some fun. as you can tell i'm pretty bored at the moment... talking about the weather is something my grandpa used to do.  |

Man, last Tuesday I was driving on the highway when I noticed everyone in front of me slamming on their breaks and pulling to the shoulder of the highway, this is when I noticed the wall of water I was about to drive into. 2 friends and I were late to an appointment so I decided to press on through the storm... when I start to hear ping... ping... ping.. ping. pingpingpingping.... yep, hail... about the size of a penny pounding my car for almost 4 miles at about 25 mph. I was dreading what may be happening to my car. Once we finally got to our meeting I got out and looked, not a dent I can find anywhere. Man I was sweating it for the last 20 min of the trip though lol.

I am in lovely Las Vegas right now so I missed the weather. I did get a call from the gf last night. I guess Lightning struck our fire system at my condo and F'd it all up! Can't wait to get back and see what problems are going to stem from that!
