AJ, you're all signed up for Mazda?...this August 12-13 weekend. You're gonna have fun there. You have a choice of stick/auto, unchaperoned drives and encouragement to really push the car...oh and chalk lines on the roads. Oh and pretty much as many go's as time permits although only your first 2 runs count towards the time board.
The only thing that worried me about the CDC auto-x was no lines, just cones, easy to lose your direction in the heat of the moment....

There is no thread separation... you donny and I make each thread a conglomerate mess of DCness... Yes lines are for noobs... what do you think I am.... I really did like that car course at fedex... had a good balance of acceleration/braking/cornering... I assume those PL's are closed on a regular basis |

SO my car is up for its state inspection next month... Is this covered under our 4yr 50k services? Should I get it done at the dealer if its not, or just go to a local shop???

AJ, BK and I bought our cars at Passport in MD, so technically out of state. But its really not a big deal. I had mine done by my house, 20 minutes max. On the tints issue, it wouldn't hurt to roll the windows down. Also wouldn't hurt to have a couple of bills handy in your pocket during inspection I wonder how long you can get away with no front plates. I see a lot of C6 corvettes, Z4s, Ferraris and Aston Martins with no front plates...

I have been stopped by some of the state's finest (no tickets though) and have never had a problem with my tints... I dont think I am worried about it... I was going to wait until after the inspection, but I think Im just going to remove the front plate and bracket... my JMU plates almost look like PA plates anyway... |

I see cars with VA plates driving around with like 15% tint on the front windows all the time, so I can't imagine it's that heavily enforced. I just don't want it to come up as an issue at a safety inspection.
