Hello everyone! Im new to forums altogether, a Vegas native, and been in the car scene for quite some time here, but this is my first Bimmer (E90 335i). Quite frankly it blows the many asian imports ive owned over the years outta the water in most aspects. IMO. Anyway, looking forward to learning from and meeting you all!

Welcome aboard... Greetings from someone who just came back from visiting Vegas but also briefly lived in Enterprise.

Ok. I might be down depending on the price. Are you on that wechat app? Have you asked anyone on that?

Ugh! My car is out of commission. I got water in the ECU when washing the car and it's fried. There was signs of arching on the pins on the big connector, and a sticky liquid all over it. I cracked it open, but didn't see any components obviously fried...Hopefully there's a 335i at the pick and pull yard, I don't want to even think of the money I'll have to dish out. :/

I read that one i think. He replaced a transistor. I think mine might be alot worse. I opened it up and visually checked all the components but didn't find anything obviously fried. I'm hoping that the liquid was shorting some pins together and maybe a fuse or two is blown. I'm going to check them when I get off work.

Pretty sure whoever recently bought my old 335 thinks I'm a mad man. Seen the car twice and both times nearly killed both of us trying to get a good look at it. Oop!

I got the car somewhat running! on closer inspection, there was a blown capacitor and a fried run on the ECU. I replaced it and repaired the run. Now the car starts up with a terrible idle with no throttle response throwing 2CFB and 2D09. But if I reset the throttle adaption it runs like a champ with no codes.
It seems like a toss up between the ECU being bad still, and a bad throttle body. I'm leaning more towards the ECU; are any of you familiar with recoding ECUs? I would rather try that than take it to a dealership and have them do it.
