Finally found 335i - new owner

In October I sold my 2005 Subaru STI because my spine finally became fed up with the terrible seats. I also own an S2000 and felt the 335i would be the perfect compliment to it, as it combines a comfortable interior with more than enough power to drive 130mph (too soon?).

I take my S2000 to a few track days, so hopefully I dont get the mod bug with this car as the S2k made me buy it Volks, etc. I do plan to purchase a new weighted shift knob from Tischer, the stock 6spd knob feels like a toy.

2008 BMW E92 335i in Montego Blue with cold/premium/sports packages and 19k miles. HPFP and injectors were replaced in 2011, so hopefully I do not run into that issue for a while.

I found the STi seats to be comfortable on my bad back. My BMW has the sport seats and no lumbar support though. I noticed the butt width is greater in the BMW but the side bolstering is tighter than the STi, kinda weird.

You know the side bolsters inflate on the BMW sport seats yes?

Honestly, and I know I am skinny, but the STI seat felt like a park bench. The 335i is a welcome change.

Thanks for the compliments, and wchilds310, with snow and ice everywhere in CT right now I wish I was in Los Angeles!

I'm 6'0 225lbs. Yea I have the side bolsters set to their widest settings and they're still overly snug. My BMW sport seats feel firmer than the STi too. The STi bottom seat portion had some nasty steel bars which were uncomfortable for me. If I could get the lumbar support and little bit wider side bolstering the bmw seats would feel real good.

Thanks, I had looked at several 335i's, black, grey, white and the second I pulled into the lot I knew that this color (montego) was the one. It is alot brighter than in most pictures I have seen.

I wish my black sapphire metallic car was montego or le mans blue. They're so extremely rare as e93 though

That's a nice pickup with the low miles. Seems like the car was taken care with that service work so you should be good.
