You can look through the dealer database and find one.

Looks like Champion is the only place according to the Map they have...maybe there are more down there?

Stage 1 Flash is $800
Stage 2 Flash is $1000

Labor is up to the individual flashing facility, we do not charge for labor for flashing/reflashes.

Tom

Long time, hope all is well.

Understand that the labor is up to the individual facility, but what is incorporated in a flash? I am new to this whole world, but how does a flash take place? car is hooked up to a stand alone computer connected to GIAC and then ur cars flashed?

How much do you guys charge for all those extra goodies - flash loader w/race,valet, stock,?

Flashing is about 60-90 minutes, the vehicle is plugged into a standalone computer and power supply to prevent any voltage drops/spikes during the flash process.

Here's what's needed:

Handheld switcher: $150.00 (required for switching options)

Optional Switching Modes:
Stock Mode: +$100.00 (free for customers who purchase a handheld within the 30 days of switching release)
Race Mode: +$200.00
Valet Mode: +$100.00

For those not located near a GIAC facility, we can bench-flash the DME and have it returned via Overnight Priority for minimal downtime.

How involved of a process is it to remove the DME? Is there obvious signs of tampering that occur when this is done?

Agreed, I would say if you don't have a flashing facility close by and need to ship it...your chances of messing something up are even less than a piggy back because you don't have to remove each individual harness from the main wiring clip and don't have to touch the power tap location. Just the main connectors, pull the ECU out and ship. It is similar to other methods with Audi/VW etc...very straight forward.

It is literally a 15-20 minute removal process really taking your time and being careful at that. You could do it in less...but there is no reason to.

Austin,

Will the GIAC Flashloader Switcher for PC be available for our cars? I'd love to be able to have that option in addition to the handheld switcher.
