Vintage cars are pre-1931.

While I inderstand what you are saying I fail to understand why so many things to do with 70's and 80's cars are called retro something or other, you aren't telling me they are all wrong??

Retro is 'in' but it did go 'out' after the '80's

Nic, many of us remember all these 'retro' things first time so it's not 'new' or 'in'

Its like winding up a clockwork toy!!!!!

Classic car Magazine is called 'Classic' car not 'Retro' car, as its for cars which aren't from this time!

That would be a 'vintage' toy. The 'retro' toy would look exactly the same but be computerised and powered by Duracell's

All the cars at the retro show, in the retro magazine could be classed as 'old skool'

There is only one car that could be classed as retro in this photo gallery

http://www.retroshow.co.uk/gallery2008.php

The Chrysler PT Cruiser ..... the rest are old skool

(you can have a 'old skool disco' but not a 'retro disco' !!!!! unless it's new music with a 'disco' flavour)

Nic. I also read Classic Car mag. & had retro cars mag. a couple of times.

Yes the cars in the retro mag are 'old', thats just the car shells &/ or chassis.
Most of what's inside is new. Engine's, gearboxes, drive shaft's.Some have even fitted electric window's, satnav,CD player's & i think thats what makes them 'Retro'..

I also hear that todays fashion 'is o so retro',but really it's the same thing's that we wore back in the '70's, but new..
