Got caught with Passport 9500i

I got caught by a civil polis car running a camera equipped car (probably with laser) they filmed me speeding 30 mph over the limit . on the film you could see speed and distance.
My Passport 9500i did not notice anything.. why is this possible? if the polis car could see distance and speed then they locked me with a laser and the passport has a sensor turned towards the back.
Just trying to understand why it did not beep and what i can do to avoid this next time.
Thanks
1-3 months without license by the way....

Let me get this straight--you were going 30+ mph over the limit, clearing breaking the law and putting others at risk. Since the police was following, it was clearly not a remote safe area.

you will be out of license for 1-3 months and while you wait to get your license back, you want our help in figuring out how to break the law again (and put others at risk), but not get caught!

yeah preach somewhere else. i was on the highway with NO traffic at all so it was safe to drive 90mph instead of 60mhp...
Could it be that the password was mounted slightly to low and the sensor was blocked by the rear seat?

Are you sure they got you with laser?

In Norway, they often just pace people. If they're pacing you, then they don't ever need to have turned on the laser

what do you mean by pace? They basically filmed me with a camera they had in the car. there you could see the distance and speed (they showed me the video). In order to get that you need some sort of laser to calculate distance right?

Pacing means they follow you and get your speed based on the speed of the police car. Perhaps the distance and speed shown on the video was that of the police car.

In addition, they may be using different frequecies in Sweden that isn't on the Passport's "radar screen."

The speed shown in the video - was this your speed or the speed of the police car?

It sounds like they were pacing you. It is standard practice for police cars camera feeds to imprint their own police car speed on their own video recordings.

Most likely there were markings on the side of the road that they used to time your vehicle passing over and a simple math calculation will give them your speed. Same thing they do when they use helicopters to get speeders, the radar/laser was most likely never used.

As far as I know they can't pace you and use laser at the same time, they have to be stationary to use laser. Those cameras that show speed of moving vehicles on screen use Ka band based on my experience in Europe.

alteast the OP now has 1-3 months to research how to continue to speed and not get caught lol...

actually i shouldn't assume OP will not drive w/o license. why stop driving even if you don't have a license--clearly you don't have any issue breaking the law--just an issue with getting caught doing it

the 9500i has superwide Ka band. I really think they just paced me and thats why they took me when they actually caught up with me and my speed was much lower.

I dont speed because Im perfect but people who put a lot of money into the performance and speed of their car may want to test the limits of their ride. Due to substandard roads and out of dated traffic laws put in place by our nanny state government, people are forced to "go rouge." This is why otherwise law abiding citizens purchase a passport detection system.

I do not condone Speeding or breaking any law but I absolutely despise the "morality Police"
