airfilter e90

my airfilter housing PIPE keeps coming out on one side making my accelerator more stiff as the piping doesnt stretch far enough to reach the top and bottom of were it slots into, would could be the problem.. do i need a new airfilter housing

1. Why would a loose pipe have anything to do with your accelerator feeling stiff?

2. The PIPE (is that different to a normal pipe?) must have fitted before, so what's changed?

3. If the pipe doesn't stretch far enough, why would you need a new airbox? Unless that's shrunk, surely a new pipe would be a better option?
