I agree...

But heck is it fun to put my Falcon in my BMW and speed to a LAN party without worrying about tickets from state troupers.

Moral: just load up your car with all the good stuff: detector, jammer, jammer detector jammer, etc. For my money, these are the best mods of all.

You just flip the switch back on after you have gone by, the CPU turns back on and you have protection again.

Virginia is one of the most rediculous states when it comes to the laws on radar detectors and laser jammers: http://guysoflidar.com/virginia-laser-jammer-laws.html

Watch this laser encounter with a motorcycle cop, you can hear it announce the type of gun the officer is using. At the end you hear the word, "Welcome", which is when the user turned the system back on after manually turning it off to get the officer get a reading after he slowed down.

Watch this long distance laser shot from the drivers point of view (real encounter):

A few more install pics for the rear heads, and a pic of the CPU box in the fuse area behind the glove box. Drilled 1/4" in holes in the license plate light housing. This saved me from having to drill holes in the body, and the replacement part is only $7 each if I ever want to go back to stock. ** Big thanks to an E46 M3 owner that showed some pics of his install that I used for help **
