Earlier this week I called a shop to get a quote on coilover install and the guy quoted me 9 hours of labor @ $105/hr plus an alignment. I asked him his logic and he said he just uses the Dinan guidelines for install on a Stage 1 suspension kit.

I'll readily admit that I know very little about suspension components, but this seems completely ridiculous. I also know enough about Dinan to recognize that they make you pay for their "warranty" with over-inflated prices on parts and labor.

The shop I called was a very reputable tuner in my area and I'm willing to pay up for a quality install, but not that much. Anyone else have any feedback on this topic?

I think it depends on the type of coilovers and the time it takes to adjust them.. Kw v3's would definitely be more pricey to install compared to kw v1 or H&R's but I got quoted $240~ for H&R's

Hey gofast, PM AR Design. He quoted me a pretty good price to install V1's and they are located in Littleton. Look in the Rocky Mtn forum and you will see some of his posts.

Now the problem is just finding a set of coilovers. The V1's are back-ordered and it'll take 2-3 weeks to get a set from Germany, and the H&R's are about 8-10 weeks out at a minimum.

Awesome, Please ping me when you get them installed. I very much want the V1's but in a holding pattern right now and would love to see them in person installed. Glad you got a proper install rate as well.

Mine should be here in 1-2 weeks and will probably be getting them installed at by my guy at TKX Performance out in LI.
I've had over 1 year on the stock suspension and I'm finally ready to upgrade the stock xi suspension. I got the sports package but was disappointed it didnt have a true sports suspension.

2 weeks after the install I'm going to be all over the twisties testing them out
