Ford Focus ST Diesel-Powered

Car and Driver had an article about Ford's plans to build this. Nothing for the USA 'though, unless as the author opined the VW GTD comes and is a sales bonanza.

Off on a tangent, but I test drove a Fiesta ST last week. Was really impressed with the performance and economy at a value price. Sure it wasn't the level of quality and brand appeal of a BMW, but it really had some strong pull to it in all gears and nimble handling, it is less than 2700 pounds. Tight high bolstered sport seats, Nav, Bluetooth, comfort access and start, 35mpg highway, all for ~$25k.

Many many years ago the Fiesta was a little pocket rocket when it first came out. At least it felt like it to me.

I wouldn't hold my breath for this one to come out in the US. Such a shame though.

I'll see your Fiesta and raise you a Cruze: Cruze FWIW it does appear to use DEF.

Before I dropped off my 335d in Jan, I bought a Fiesta ST, because the D was my only car and I had a feeling it was going to be a while before I got it back. Yes, it's still at the dealer.

I really don't like FWD cars but this one is different. Almost zero understeer and can be provoked into oversteer. Really one of best handling cars I've ever driven.
