We had a 2007 6AT RWD running right after I ran. He put down the same horsepower and 460tq. Thing is, he was running map 5 on a jb4 on e30 and his AFR's were pretty lean at 14-14.5:1 throughout the entire dyno run. I told him he needs to $hit can the JB4 and go with Cobb. The AFR's actually were really concerning the hell out of the guys running the dyno.

Eum, I though JB4 tune had a built-in safety check which put you into limp mode if you're running too lean...?

With the JB4 and DCI's I'd say ballpark of about 350whp and 380tq.

I just got a 07 BMW 335I. I have the jb4, currently running map1. But that isn't the point. I currently have an 03 cobra kenne bell. I always believed that turbo cars make more power as the rpms increase. Why do all these graphs kinda tapper off around 5.5k? I see they are still making boost, but power is kinda flat. Are these turbos at their max? Or are the tunes not maximizing timing and fuel correctly?

Turbos on 335's are just too small. When you're tuned (Cobb, Jb4, etc.), the turbos do not make power past 5500-5750 rpm... From factory, these turbos were aimed to add torque a low rpm (max torque at 1500-1700 rpm) not really to add power at high rpm...

2009 N54 E92, JB4 Map 0, Map 2, Map 5 Dynopck
Hey Guys wanted to share my recent runs on my e92 n54 2009, the following, I am new in this forum as I used to have AMG cars in past. This is my first BMW and have had it for over a year now. Have done the following Performance mods.
Modifications: BMS Downpipes Helix FMIC 335iS exhaust BMS DCI JB4 - Map 0, Map 2, Map 5 Running Shell 93 gas. And on dynopack 5500 series. Map 5 did not dyno so good, I guess this is normal as map 5 has safety features that could be kicking in due to airflow etc. Checked with Terry from BMS, and he gave me the same explanation. Your comments, feedback are welcomed. -Edison |

I've run e85 for years. That's the cool thing about it compared to race gas; you can run it all the time. Race gas is for glory runs (dyno or track).

2009 M Sport 335i 6MT 37K miles
411 whp and 463 wtq JB4 G5 Map 5 BMS DCI BMS downpipes ER charge pipe ER FMIC 6 gallons E85 blended with 93 (~38% mix) May in Texas, about 80 degrees and no fan on the intercooler 2007 335i 6MT 32K miles 426 whp and 463 wtq JB4 G5 Map 5 BMS DCI BMS downpipes 5.5 gallons on E85 blended with 93 (~35% mix) November in Texas, about 70 degrees with a blower pointed at the intercooler A little disappointed with the 411, but I am going to check a few things... I am sure having no air on the intercooler didn't help me. Going to run some logs, get a back end flash, in line fuel pump, and meth next so hopefully shooting for the 450whp mark. Happy with 463 for torque though.

I had 6 gallons in my 411/463 run. I really think the lack of air robbed me a few hp. Wheels are spinning at well over 100 at the top of 4th and I'm just sucking in stagnant hot air!
