From everything that BMW has put out, it would appear that new iDrive on all MY09 3-series is a lock.

New I Drive

Seems only to be a lock on the Sedan and Wagon from SOP. Other body styles may be a later, how much is the question as the coupe and vert are dure for the body upgrade with MY 2010.

I'm not ordering mine with iDrive, so I couldn't care less.

I know, it would seem "all" means all but there seems to be a great deal of debate on e92... anyone else who is ordering hear from their ca?

Go over to BMWCCA and look at J. Spira's article in the BMW News forum...seems to be pretty definitive. Also look at BMWNA's training deck for the MY09 3-series, which essentially confirms all of them have the new iDrive.

I've confirmed this with BMW in Denmark, Germany and Sweden. 2009 E90, E91, E92 and E93 will get the new iDrive.

Cannot confirm for the US.

Thank you. I was going to respond the same way as this has been asked/debated in other posts over the last 6 weeks many times. I for one had iDrive 2.0 as a deal breaker and my E93 vert is confirmed in production this week. From the items you cite, I made the go ahead decision to retain my production date 2 weeks ago. On the extremely slim chance it arrives without the new iDrive, I will not accept it at delivery. My CA and his GM are aware of this. I doubt very much that will be the case and look forward to driving home in my new Bimmer in just a few weeks from now.
