Well let's see..... It only took 4 years for the N54 to get "slightly modified" turbos. I think you guys have some waiting.

Space + the intake mani makes it difficult.

I can't wait for the new N63/S63 engines with the new top mounted turbos....they are gonna be sweeeet!!!!!

Check eBay, craig's list, the private sale forum, or your local junk yard You can probably pick up a used one for $300 bones, or buy new at Tischer for $800.

I heard from Mike at AWD - No progress yet on their upgraded N55 turbo. They are still looking for a core to use for development purposes. If anyone knows of a used N55 turbo or can make theirs available please let Mike know.

Just cause it took 4 years for a few members to get ballsy doesn't mean it'll take that long for the n55 or any platform for that matter.

Hell the Mustang 5.0 hasn't even been out a year and there are a shit load of bolt ons for them. Its all a matter of who doesn't care about warranty.

Mustangs had parts out before they were selling them on the lots. Why....because there is a huge market for mustangs. The N54/54 market is probably 10% (just a guess) the size of theirs, so demand will generate materials faster. It's also a "matter" of how easy it is to develope these parts, it's next to impossible to just slap on a large turbo due to it's location, exhaust manifold, and room down there. By all means, if you know a machineist that can bore out the stock turbo, upgrade the turbine, and beef up the wastegate actuator, have at it

Lots of people can do this. Its all a matter of getting a car into their hands. Sadly I'm no where near florida or cali.

And you are right about the market. Mustang owners DGAF. They want power and aren't afraid to play. Bmw owners are a little more conservative, just search all the "will this void my warranty" threads.

I have several friends that build and upgrade turbos, and could easily handle the task. However, the need for tuning definitely comes into play. If remote tuning can be done, the car can be strapped to dyno anywhere.

I will personally come down to Florida to have the swap done (assuming it can be done in a full day) if Active can make this happen.

I would be fine with anything 450+

100 WHp more than stock would require a new turbo. Turbo alone is close to 3k.
