330D Pricing.

For those interested, the 330D (and pricing) was added to the BMW configurator over the weekend.

Hi Guys

I just like to start off by saying what a great website this is. I have learnt a lot in the past month reading though everyones comment so .

I thought I share something with all of u. I have actually order a new LCI 330d a few weeks ago from our valley dealership. Original, I was looking at LCI 335i but later on found out that the 3rd gen diesel engine was on it way here to Australia and just could not resist. I have a e53 diesel and e60 diesel in the family and i just love the new generation diesel. Plus the saving I ended up getting due to the LCT difference between a 335i and 330d was over $10000. 0-100km is only 0.3 sec slower than 335i not to mention the economy is around 30% better than 335i.

The only real downside is that the car will be a April Production car therefore arriving late May but most likely June. So I am still just counting my days before the new toy arrives.

Congrats!

Given that this is the 1st 330 spec car sold in AUS since late 2006 (when the 335i came out) and the 1st AUS 6-cyl diesel, did you get a good discount off list price?

Hey Bcoz

Since it was a custom order and they were kinda more keen to get ride of a black LCI 335i that have on hand, so i only manage to get ~13% off RRP. I think i should have gotten more closer to 15% but i am still quite happy to get that much off. Plus I think they might have made some errors in calculating LCT coz it was only ~$4500 compared to the 335i which was ~$15000. I am still a bit not sure if they over or under calculate the LCT.

The extra's accessories that I put on was 18", professional nav which is the new Idrive, sunroof, Space Grey metallic, individual audio and it was a sport too. Everything else was standard like the 335i so there wasn't really anything else i could have put on.

Cheers
Sam

Yea, i kinda force them to sell me one when i was there. They were not 100% certain about the actual on road price too but were still very happy to sell. I am pretty sure that calculation that they have done should be correct or else they will not be stupid enough to sell it at a lost.

Finger's cross that they made some mistakes in calculating and under charge me a bit.

Ecnirp, u also interest too in one too?

Yes, have been waiting for pricing though. The BMW Australia config page lists RRP of $87,250.00. Looking at a very similar config to yours with a few other small extras and Oyster leather.

I suppose there was not really a rush to order one now anyway coz the car does not go in production till APRIL anyway arriving in June. I order one so soon because I just want to get it done and not to have to think about it all the time. But now all i think about is how long it will take .

Oyster is nice, I saw one at dealership and it is quite a special colour. Aim for 15% off, i think u should be able to get very close to it as there have been numerous reports saying BMW plants are cutting back on production due to reduce in sale so I think they will be keen to do business.

Keep us posted if you know more. I also want to check if the price i got was correct or not.

cheers

LCT on the diesel 330 will be much lower than the 335 because of its "green" credentials which put it in the low catagory. Overall, this makes the 330D a smart purchase.

Hey Scheps
I did put quite a few things but thing that i think i would use that i have listed above.

I went to motorline but they could not confirm the price and therefore did not want to sell me the car. I was a bit supprise that Brisbane BMW say they can do the deal for me.

Has anyone got an actual price from any dealership yet?

No LCT back though you only start paying from above $75K due to the amended LCT legislation. It's the only reason we're getting the 330D in Australia. Looks as though they've snuck in a few price rises also, even after recently saying they wouldn't. For example, metallic paint and comfort access have been hiked and adaptive headlights are no longer part of the Innovations Package. On the other hand, you can now order chrome line exterior trim for the the 320i and D non-M Sport, and they've also added 'Individual Sun Protection Glazing' which is where the rear window and passenger windows are tinted.

On my actual contract, they have listed all the prices excluding LCT. At the very end of the contract, they work out the LCT for the whole vehicle and add it to the grand total. So the $4500 I was refereing before for LCT includes the LCT for the car and also the LCT for all of the accessories that I have put on. It is just the way the dealer do up their contract so I hope i'm not confussing anyone here.

Yea, pro nav is not cheap. But I thought i put it in coz it got the new Idirve with HD. They should have it standard like the 335.

Finance or outright would make no difference. Infact, under finance, the dealer has extra financial benefits by rebates that would allow them to negotiate harder.

I am so happy that the pricing is announced, and with the LCT concessions, the pricing is very aggressive. It looks loaded with kit too. The pricing is much better than I thought it would be.

Roll on December when my car comes up for renewal!!

Interesting to see who this affects 325i sales, given the equipment/power hike for not much more cash. Also if you look at similar offerings from Audi and Mercedes, none of them has the fuel economy to get the LCT concessions, so BMW will, IMHO, score a home run with this model!!
