right turn signal lamp malfucntion

started getting this warning tonite after getting gas...checked all 3 signals to the right (headlamp, side, taillamp) they all seem working fine...even checked all 3 on the other side...

warning includes "have the system checked at the nearest bmw center"...has anyone experienced something similar to share to save me a trip to the dealer? could this be a sensor failure?

Many times the bulb may not actually be defective and the connection may be the culprit. Same type of deal posted here concerning the "brake light bulb out" message. Remove the bulb and reseat it ........... that may be the fix.

If not ......... it's off to the dealer you go.

thx 4 replying ToadHollow...

kinda lazy to pull each of the 3 bulbs out to test...phoned the dealer but they can't get me in till 2 wks later ...i'll try to live with the warning for now since it's just complaining about lights that are working fine...

i guess as long as i keep an eye on the lights between now and then it shouldn't do my car any harm

Are these lights under warranty? If not how much do they usually go for?
