Lease assumption: '07 E92 335i, Brand New!
I hate for this to be my first post here - I've been lurking for the month I've had my 335i. Right after I bought it though, I got a job offer that I decided to take, despite the cut it pay it would mean. Due to that cut, I need to pass off my lease to someone else. The car: 2007 335i Coupe Jet Black with Saddle Brown leather and Walnut trim (colors look really great together, the pics don't do them justice) -6MT -Sport Package -Premium Package -iPod adapter -35% tint The car currently has ~2300 miles (purchased Oct. 30). As of the end of Febrary, 32 months and ~34k miles will remain on the lease. Incentive: $5000 Current Adjusted lease cost: $635/mo. http://www.swapalease.com/VEHICLESEA...hicleID=389155 If someone wants to buy it outright, I'll sell it for $41990, and pay the difference for the lease payoff. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=238480324 The car is barely broken in, and I hate to lose it. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do though. I'm sure someone from these forums will appreciate it properly Last edited by sxates; 02-06-2008 at 10:59 AM.. Reason: price update |

I'm not sure. I paid $2700 in taxes when I bought it, so I think the taxes are covered until the title changes hands again, which won't happen until the lease expires (bank holds the title until the car is actually purchased by someone). I don't think there are any taxes involved with a lease transfer, but I haven't talked to BMW Financial yet to verify that. I believe the only costs involved for the person who picks up the lease will be the lease transfer fee, and registration fee for new plates if outside of Texas.

Just found this:
Please note, certain states (IL,MD, NJ, NY,OH, TX) impose sales tax for all lease transfers even if the original customer has paid sales tax in the past. When registering the vehicle, these states may assess sales tax. If your state is not listed, please contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles for more details. |

I've already had one interested party ping me on swapalease, so someone from there may grab it soon.
Here's the link to that description if anyone is interested: http://www.swapalease.com/VEHICLESEA...hicleID=389155 Last edited by sxates; 02-06-2008 at 11:00 AM.. |
