Would take some getting used to. On first viewing makes the car look a lot smaller. Might push a few budget conscious buyers otherwise opting for the E90 to get a coupe even if it is the new one series.

i never really liked the mid-term refresh of the E46. Even though there is some camo on these spy pics, it looks like I am going to feel the same about the mid-term refresh of the E90.

I'm really happy with the way this refresh turned out.
The 2009 facelift gives the e90 a more rounded shape, contributing to a more athletic appearance. Changes to the grill and front of the car create a new 'face' for the 3-series sedan. Moreover, the increased definition in the hood sculpting adds to the sports motif. The only thing I don't like about this version is how the rear diffuser lip appears when it touches the rear bumper. The reason why I'm happy about this is because the current e90 still looks great in comparison to the refreshed version. Instead of the new one being a simple improvement, it is a change in the car's aesthetic character. This makes the new one 'something different' instead of 'something better'. If you remember when the e46 sedan was refreshed, the older one no longer looked very good. And btw, these photos don't show everything, so let's not be quick to judge until we see uncovered shots. |

And even with the camo on the images above i dont think the front is as nice as the coupe. Btw the only camo i see is the back and hood. O well time will tell What does this E90 means btw? is it like Golf is on version 5 and BMW is on E90 version ? Sorry for the little but anyone who can change my mind about the A5 and Coupe or new 3 serious, i mean you guys seem to know much about BMW. Is the motor/caros/.. better or something i have not thought about maybe? I like both cars the same so every detail counts Wish i could get one each :rocks: cheers |

Its my understanding that the facelift will coincide with the introduction of the M3 Sedan which will be the ONLY 3 Series Sedan equipped with the front end of the Coupe. Apparently, the E92 front end is being used for improved cooling & crash prevention, and also because of the M suspension alterations and different ride height that it will have over the regular E90s.

I am not feeling it but I will have to see it face to face. I will say this I was not feeling the E90 and said I was not giving my E46 up for one. I am driving a E90 now. I it look like this when it come out I will stay with what i have or get a E92 next year. We really have to wait.

There is camo on the fron tbumper and rear bumper as well. The car is covered in camo. It has more camo than paint showing.

Well I thoroughly dislike ( I would be stronger than that but hate is too much) the front end of my e90) and am very much looking forward to a facelift.
I sincerely hope that the front end is updated to be the same as the coupe, which is genuinely beautiful. I would like to see but dont believe BMW will go this far which is a shame. If they are not taking the change this far, I would very much like to see the awful headlights dropped and the bonnet lines changed to angle towards the grill (like the coupe) and similar to the e46 facelift. This will lessen the weight of the pedestrian bulge which makes the front look high and heavy. I like the new rear valance a lot, and if again if they cant go as far as adding the coupes rear lights (again lovely and just right) they could change these to at least blacklines though I hope for more. When I see a coupe approach on the road I find myself observing and thinking how truly beautiful that car is. My car on 162s only ever looks nice from the right angle or a stolen relflection, I have never loved it and thats a shame. Will my next car be an e90 of course, there is nothing else I would consider, its a masterclass that I enjoy driving and owning but please BMW help me love it more and brighten up the roads with a beautiful car. You know you can do it. I have one further request. Please add 19" wheels to the range. perhaps a new design and the multispoke from coupe sport range. I feel slightly second class citizeny as a saloon owner and thats not right. Cheers. |
