advice for new car plesae!!AUDI A6?A5? or E92-325i?

my MY08 E90 320i's warranty is going to due in may. the 320's being a great and reliable everyday car for all this years. but sorry, i cant stand for the 2.0L engine anymore

yes- its economical to run
yes- its a reliable little car
yes- when the warranty expired the car service wil cause an arm and a leg
yes- when i need some power to overtake another car on the highway it isnt there

i'm not a speed enthusiastic, but just like to enjoy a little more power on the road when i turn the aircon on in a hot summer day

after a long conversation(begging), my future Mrs finally said 'OK, but no more then 60K, that's you third car in less then 3 years'

my next every day car has to be economical, safety, little more powerful then my 320i, and of course nice looking.

here's what i had in mind
1st of course the BMW E92(325i), but i looked around on carsales.com.au and i think the AUDI's A6(2.0T) or A5(2.0T) maybe good for every day car as well?

but i never driven any AUDIs before and i dont know anythink about them, on the website they claim the A6s can do 7.7L/100km, and A5s can do 7.4L/100km, that sounds use less fuel then the E92 325i(9.0L/100km), even less then my 320i(about 10L-11L/100km)

dear memers!! i dont know what to chose, need your helps and advice for the next car i'll be driving for the next 3-4 years. any seductions will help.

thanks in advance

I'm confused you say the 320 is reliable but you are worried about maint costs after warranty?

You say you are not a speed freak but want more power with better fuel economy?

What's your budget?

But I think you really need to work out what you really want first, PWOH will sell you on the virtues of the nok nok and if I read between the lines I think this might be for you

If your concerned with ongoing maintenance costs you should stick with your 320i, it will be cheaper than the Audi's

Don't think that will fit his budget.

I would say 335i but you're concerned about maintenance cost.

Anything turbocharged? you want that feeling of power? then turbo torque is what you want.

320d will be great, but you already have an e90 so it isnt much of a change unless your going e92

Try the audi's out

N54 powered 135i/335i, PROcede/downpipes/meth and LSD. Very cheap, very economical, and one of the most, if not the most reliable platforms currently on the market.

I've had friends dump their Corollas for x35i's cos they were tired of the shitty build quality in comparison.

The turbo torque of the audis sound like it'll suit your criteria. Enough for everyday driving yet no quarter mile superstar. Good fuel economy on them too.

Some ass in an S4 tried to take me on the inside lane but then I heard his fuel pump fail as he lined up. I promptly stepped on it and my highly reliable pump delivered the required amount fuel as I laughed at his poor car choice.

My e92 325i 6speed manual is a hell of a lot of fun to drive. I can't match 7.4 l/100km, I get more like 10l/100km. This is probably due to the way I drive it The straight six does like to rev. If economy is a primary concern I would look at a 320d.

Cheers,
Stephen
