BMW Performance Suspension cross-brace in aluminium
Hi
I would have liked to buy the Carbon Fibre strut brace but the asking price of some $1,200 on eBay is just stupid so I settled on the aluminium one which does just the same job. I purchased it off eBay brand new in the box including shipping for $200 so can't go wrong at that price. I installed in today in about 15 minutes with the biggest problem being having to purchase a Torx socket to remove the bolt on top of the assembly (see pic). Got that and after some pushing got the little so-and-so off. All the rest was a breeze but you need to have access to a torque wrench to do all the bolts up...more money if you don't have one!! I have also purchased the front BMW Performance Brake set off a Stealer in Melbourne for a very competitive price and they should arrive over here in Perth this week. Just need to get those installed and should look good I hope - post some pics once done. Have a good week |

How much did the BMW Performance Brake set cost if you don't mind me asking?
Just want to compare prices to the Nashin brake kit? What size are the BMW Performance discs? Thanks. |

Hi
Less than $1,800 shipped to Perth and from a BMW Dealer not eBay as I wanted to ensure I had the OEM warranty. Hope that helps... |

Thanks, it does help. Is that just for the front or front and back? Do they come with a set of pads or do you have to get them separate? |

Hi
BMW don't make them for the back on a 3 series. They come with pads as I am told (as per picture below) - haven't actaully taken deliery as yet...due Friday. All good I think for the price in my opinion. |

so annoying that you cant get these for a 335i (without going backwards in rotor diameter anyway)

I am really looking forward to having them, as the brakes on my 130i is not so good, not very progressive at all. Do you mind giving me a link to the strut bar you got from ebay? thanks Ken

Hey
Well the Performance Brake kit arrived on Friday - 4 boxes, two metal guards, a cable and some screws. Looking to get them installed in a fortnight. Can't wait to see what they look like and how they feel under heavy load. Bummer they don’t make them for the rear brakes on a 325i but that’s life I guess. Well worth the money I think - I'm very happy. If you going to get them then shop around – it is amazing how much you can save by asking around Stealers in different States. I saved more than $1,300 even with freight from the East Coast and I get the full BMW warranty – something important to me. Have a great day... |

Yes sure have it is a lot tighter and more responsive in the front end. Worth the investment in my view.
Hope that helps |
