Earlier this month I purchased 2 KDCAN cables from dbrad (http://e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1053132), expecting that cables sold by forum members would actually work. I understand these were clones, but there again, thought forum members would only resell cables that work.

Once he agreed to sell them to me at $30, I then had to give an additional $5 to cover shipping (which I didn't mind and quickly agreed). After I received them, I brought up the fact that the PC boards were blue and white and I was suspicious they would not work. So when I was finally able to test them to ensure they were functional a couple of days ago, sure enough only 1 of 2 worked.

He completely refused to work out a comprise, even after I offered to pay for return shipping for one or both. Then, I was forced to go through PayPal, and after only 1 day, PayPal ruled in my favor. So I'm getting a full refund plus S/H. After I opened a PayPal dispute, he then quickly went back in and modified his original post to make it seem that he used both.

I know it's only $35 and it is definitely not going to break my bank. But, it perturbs me to no end that we have deceitful forum members and are unwilling to resolve issues that relates to functionality (not compatibility) just to make a quick dollar.

Good luck selling these again...

What a scumbag... File a dispute.. if through PayPal i'll tell you it's almost guaranteed back.

I did. They ruled in my favor after only 1 day. Cables returned and refund is being processed.

Why did you return both is one was working? Also, which one was working? White or blue?

Honestly I don't remember which one worked. But it was all or nothing when it came to returning them when going through PayPal.
