Exclamation Angel Eyes from BMS (PreLCI E90) Any Problems?

So I bought the BMS Angel Eyes from Burger Tuning and them installed. They were fine for a few weeks but now the outer ring on the driver's side is dim and I am getting all kinds of codes thrown, major one being the doors ajar icon every few seconds on my dash and of course the chime...If I turn the lights to the off position it stops...but if either the drl's are on or the headlights, I get the chime. Dealer said something about the FRM but they wouldn't touch it since they are aftermarket halo's. Gonna put the stock ones back in and see what happens...

Anyone else have issues with them? That chime is driving me freakin' batty!

never heard of that brand. Should get some reputable angel eyes next time like lux 5.1 or mtec and you should have no problems

I also Just put those on my car! I hope that does not happen to mine? Do you think yours are very bright? Mine seem kinda dim?
I bought mine from burger b/c i thought they would be reputable. Please update this thread after you get it worked out with them with your result.

I have BMS angel eyes. I get a light code every so often but my jb4 erases it. They look great at night, but dim during daylight.

I thought Burger tuning would be reputable??? I was going to buy the Lux ones but these were recommended to me as being just as good for half the price. If we cannot address the issues I'll send them back and get lux.

so the update is that we took out the BMS bulbs and the error stopped. Also we found that the ring in my headlight was not seated properly. I couldn't return them to BMS as it had been too long. Burger is sending new bulbs out so we'll see if the replaced ones work better. I'll update once they're in.

BMS Angel eyes are nothing more then the same overseas junk regurgitated by dozens of vendors. No surprise here.

A) you could have bought them cheaper elsewhere and B) they are going to break again

C) do some research
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...item27bbcf8d0e (this is the same thing you just bought for over 2x much).

well if they break again then I'm just going to get LUX. But as I said I'm sort of stuck with these for the time being. was going on a (bad) recommendation...

These are better, brighter, and cheaper as well: http://www.highperformancebulbs.com/bmwaneywh6wa.html
Cree is one of the top of the line companies. Just trying to help I can see how my original post came off incorrectly.

I suggest you start ordering the LUX right now and when you get it, sell the BMS or BS whatever AE bulbs to other bimmer owner that you hate

no worries, man. damn forums...there's never any tone or inflection. well I learned my lesson...I am pretty new to modding and took someone's word for it. With this experience and a few others I'm learning to do my own research and not take people's word for things. Luckily it was a $100 mistake and not $1000!!!!

Lux is the next best option aside from the last link I sent. Obviously the price difference is quite a bit.

I don't have the Lux, but my previous AE's is MTECH. I'm with the OSS now

I agree, and here is the same 6W set. Ask the seller to send the set with the extended brackets for the LCI (09+) with halogen lights. Had mine for sometime now and they work great, nice and bright.

OSS are awesome, but I can't justify spending money I could use for downpipes and a dual cone intake so I can have bright rings!

Any comments on WeissLicht upgrade kit or RD version 2?

Unfortunately, LUX doesn't work on LCI with halogen lights.
