Value of '11 E91 ZSP 6MT (62K miles)
Hi All,
Question: If I were to send my US-Spec E91 back to the states, what do you think it would be worth? Car details: *2011 328i Wagon w/ 6MT (USA-spec) *Exterior Color: Sapphire Black (the metallic one) *Interior Color: Beige Leather (not the fake stuff) *Packages: Sports Package (ZSP) *Options: Heated seats, factory alarm, roof rails *Miles: 62K *Build date: June 2010 (I ordered the car in April 2010) Condition: Excellent Service history: All scheduled stuff performed at BMW Den Haag (Netherlands); oil changed every 10K miles with Castrol 0W30 LL04. |

Call Enthusiast Auto in Ohio and see if they can give you a buy figure.
I have been looking for a late e91, non xi, non nav, stick, sport for a while. every time one pops up people are asking M3 money. Yours has higher miles so that would bring it down a bit, but it's still a rare bird. I would be a buyer in the mid 20's for a car like that, even though I really don't like black cars.

I've been looking for a manual e91 for a couple weeks. They are definitely quite rare. There is one local to me I checked out last week. Original owner 2010, manual, rwd, sport package, white with saddle brown interior, not many other options (no heated or power seats), excellent condition, but 92k miles. What do you guys think is a fair value for something like that? KBB says ~ $21k.

Do you have a link to the ad? For some perspective, In 2009 (so 3 yr old like that wagon) I bought my 330i ZSP. Stick, no nav, about 55,000 miles and I paid $18500.

It's definitely priced too high, I'm just trying to figure out what a reasonable price should be. It does also come with a set of nearly new winter tires & wheels and roof rack load bars. |

That's ideal to me, a bit pricey for the miles though.
This looks like a good deal too, http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/4208186909.html but the miles aren't listed but at least it's a stick, and I don't want an xi, no need for it with. Never had a problem with my 330i in 4 winters with a good set of snow tires. It's actually better in the snow than my wrx wagon was (true story). Just doesn't make sense to give up the fuel mpg/handling and acceleration for the 30 or 40 days we actually get snow here. If I was going to ski country all the time or if it was super hilly here I might have a different opinion on the subject.

I agree, that's why I'm trying to decide what is reasonable...I'm thinking $20k-$22k tops with the extras.

Good to hear you have no issues with RWD in winter. I am originally from WNY and the winters in Pittsburgh are much milder IMO. The city has more hills but last year there was less than 10 days with actual snow on the roads. I currently have AWD Audi but I always wanted a RWD BMW. I also considered newer (2011+) WRX but the interior and build quality is crap after having a German car. |

Good luck in your quest. I would buy a 328i wagon with high miles if equipped the way I want, like that white one. These cars age very v ery well. Id say 20k is the right number on that car. Looks very well maintained, but will need a suspension freshening if it hasn't already. I would do M3 control arms/other bits and a fresh set of shocks, either Bilsteins or BMW performance suspension pkg shocks like I have (which I believe are revalved bilsteins painted black)
Good luck in your hunt!

Agreed. Cars like yours are extremely rare in the US. I'm sure you would find an enthusiast to buy it.
